How do I make your concepts become reality?
First, when a customer wants something made, I have them explain what they are looking for, then I do a quick sketch in my phone or on my iPad. I also do this for ideas I have for things I would like to make. More for my tumblers but every so often I do it for other things I make as well.
This example is from mid 2019 but it was one of the first commissioned things that I had actually quickly sketched before designing it on the computer.
I made a wooden sign that said home with a floral design underneath and my cousin contacted me wanting some wall art with her take on the “Live, Laugh, Love” saying.

(Left) Here is my quick sketch to see if this was what she was thinking to make sure I understood what she wanted.
(Right) After it was confirmed, we discussed size what material she was wanting it on (wood, canvas...) and what type of font she wanted. (handwritten, script, fancy, plain...) then I design it on the computer in the size wanted to get the correct proportions for the whole design and sent her with a couple font options to choose from in the type she said.

After that I cut out a separate stencil for each of the phrases so I could paint them onto canvases. She wanted the words to be black but the flowers to have some color in them so I had asked her what colors she liked and she said pink, blue and purple so this is what I did for them.
Made almost an ombré fade look from the center color out to a grey color.
I unfortunately don’t have a full completed photo of these with the canvas back on the frames but the photo is of the design is after the stencil was removed. I really like how it looks.
